In a world where society claims to forgive, the reality often paints a different picture. We are told to rise like a phoenix from the ashes of our past, to embrace each bad chapter as a lesson. Yet, how often are people truly allowed to leave their past behind? Mistakes cling like roots to a tree—an inseparable part of who we are, shaping how we are judged and remembered. This thought-provoking book delves into the harsh truth: can anyone truly escape their past, or will society always hold it against them? Through powerful storytelling, it explores the journey of self-redemption and the constant battle for acceptance. Will the characters rise above the judgment, or will their past define them forever?
THIRD PERSON'S POV :
(FLASHBACK)
Forehead was full of creases, Jaws were tightly clenched, and facial expressions were clearly indicating the state of his heart and mind.
He was walking from one corner to other as if he was measuring the length of the corridor with his steps
"Anwar sit down" His mother ordered but he ignored and glanced at the clock, that must be the hundredth time when he checked the time since last hour or some more
"Ya Allah do mercy" mumbled Anisa (Maryam's mother) who was sitting on the bench beside Anwar's mother
"Doctor what..." before Anwar could asked anything to doctor who just came out from the room she blasted a bomb on his head
"Her condition is very critical, Maybe we can save either one." Awar was numb and tears made their way to Anisa's eyes.
''Save my wife in any way" Anwar said and doctor nodded while discussing some more things with Anwar. That was quite undigestable for Anwar's mother. After some fine minutes doctor went back to the room and Anwar again started his walk, form one corner to other after some more time which was seems to be half an hour
"Congratulations, its a boy" A nurse came out and said while passing a paper to Anwar, arrange these medicines soon.
"What about my wife? How is she?" Anwar asked after holding the prescription passed by the nurse
"I can't say anything about her, doctor can tell you better about her condition, you please bring these medicines soon" Anwar nodded with his tensed face, And went to took those medicines that took almost fifteen minutes
"Doctor how is my wife?" Anwar asked when he came back and doctor was talking to Anisa.
"Both child and mother are save but they both are very weak." Anwar nodded while looking at Doctor then he glanced at the wrist watch, which was showing the time of Hamdan's bus arrival, without meeting Maryam and his new born child Anwar went out from there to pick his elder son.
Anisa call in her home and Razi received the call.
"Where is your Abbu?" Anisa asked to Razi.
"Since one hour abbu was on prayer mat and regularly crying and praying" Razi answered while handling Shifa in his arms, and Anisa felt tears in her eyes
Sabir who was showing that he was angry with Maryam, he was busy in praying for her safety and health of both his Elder Daughter and her child.

MARYAM'S POV:
I opened my eyes and found Ammi and Amma both were sitting near me. I lifted my gaze everywhere but He wasn't there, he didn't came to see me.
'Is he also like Aatish? He also didn't came to meet me and our child!' I got shivered with that thought, but soon I came out from my trance when.....
"How are you?" Ammi asked me and I took a look at her, before I could say anything a doctor entered in the room to check me, and a nurse inject some medicines in the IV solution.
"Take care of her, she is very weak" Doctor said and left the room after some two minutes, at the same time he entered in the room, with same expressionless face.
"I can't do all her work, I'm myself weak, you take her to your home... Otherwise also she will feel comfortable with you" Amma said to my Ammi and I was surprised by that.
For doing all the household works I was just like a servant for her and her home but when it come to do my work then I would be comfortable in my maternal home...
The level of hypocrisy was very high in Amma.
"Fine...No problem" Ammi replied and I felt sad.
"Anwar I'm going to home" Saying that Amma made herself stand and he nodded.
"Amma go to Rani's home, I dropped Hamdan there" He said to his mother and she soon left the room after a nod. Ammi also left the room and he came closer to the bed. And I was shocked....
I haven't expected in my rarest dream what I experienced. He picked the baby in his arms and keep watching him and giving me a shock because for the first time in one year two months and fifteen days I saw him smiling. Leaning towards me he kissed my forehead giving me another shock....
"Amma is very happy that it's a boy not a girl" I mumbled and he shifted her gaze on me from the baby.
"I wouldn't have any problem if it would be a girl too" He said and I smiled happily.
"He resembles Hamdan" He said with a smile and I also nodded in agreement

I came to Abbu's home from hospital, Shifa was playing with her new brother and Hamdan also came there. I was laying in bed when heard a knock on the door, I thought it would be Ammi but....
"Shifa beta" That was my abbu, he didn't call me but call Shifa...
"Come in abbu" I said after sitting down on the bed. Stepping towards the bed he picked up the baby and I smiled
"Abbu'' I mumbled and he looked at me
"Abbu... I'm sorry" I mumbled again and he kissed the forehead of baby.
"Hamdan beta tell me if you need anything" He ignored me and said that to Hamdan
"Okay Nana abbu" Hamdan said with happy expressions and I looked at Abbu. He made the baby lay down beside me and turned to go back but I suddenly grabbed his wrist, on that he turned and I suddenly hugged him.
"Abbu... Please abbu...." I cried hugging my abbu, I could tolerate everything but his offended behavior was killing me.
"Abbu you always says that your Maryam is most precious for you, then please forgive your daughter, please Abbu..." I didn't break the hug and just cried, and I felt his hand on the back of my head.
"Take rest, and don't cry" He caressed my head and I looked up slowly, his eyes were red.
"Abbu... Forgive me... I did a big mistake by not obeying you but now I'm doing everything which I can do to prove myself." On this he lolled at me.
"You are doing everything to prove yourself, but I never wanted you to prove yourself in front of others, I wanted that others gives examples of my daughter to their children to become like you. But...."
"Take rest" Abbu didn't complete his sentence but I knew what he was going to say.
But then people were giving my example to their daughters that when girls don't respect their parents decisions and do Marriage according to their own wish then they face the upshot like mine.
I became an example for many people but IN Negative way...

After a month:
THIRD PERSON'S POV :
(Flashback)
Maryam was living in her material home since a month, Hamdan lives sometime with his father and sometimes with Maryam because he was so much atteched with Shifa and his brother that it was difficult for him to stay away from his siblings. He was also experiencing the love of Nanihaal (maternal grandparent's home).
Sabir and Maryam's relationship was just fine. Sabir was caring about his daughter but he never talk to her directly. He use to come to Maryam and asks loving to his grand-daughter "Do my Shifa wanna eat something?" or "Do my princess needs something?"
Indeed... That questions were not for Shifa but for Maryam on which Maryam also give indirect answers to his father by ordering her 1.5year daughter to "Shifa say to Nana abbu that you want tomato soup" Maryam use to do demands for different things like that as if little Shifa was really conveying the message to her grandfather. But Maryam was at least satisfied that her father was caring for her, but still she didn't got proper love from her father.
............................
Maryam was laying on bed with folded legs, maham was sitting beside her playing with her Hamdan and Shifa.
"Maryam Anwar has come" Anisa said after stepping in the room and Maryam nodded while sitting up on the bed. But Maryam was amazed because that wasn't normal for Anwar to visit his in-laws home, he don't like to go there...
Anwar stepped in the room and Hamdan shouted happily "Papaaaa" but Maham become scared and try to hide herself behind Maryam.
"What happened Maham?" Maryam asked and that girl shook her head then out her leg from the bed to go out from the room but Maryam held her hand
"What happened maham?"
"Aapi I feels scared of him" Maham whispered but her voice was audible by Anwar.
"Why you feels scared of me? Have I scolded you ever?" Anwar asked in his same cold voice while sitting beside Maryam and Maham felt more terrified.
"No, you never" Maham mumbled and that was clearly visible that she wasn't even taking breath.
"Paapa" Shifa uttered and crawl towards Anwar then made place on Anwar's lap on which he was surprised for a moment but then he caressed her head, only one time but Maryam smiled happily
"See Maham even Shifa is not scared of him" Maryam said to Maham and she looked up at Anwar.
"No need to be scared, I won't scold you" Anwar said happily to Maham and she keep looking at him with same scared look but she gathered some courage to ask "really?" Anwar nodded and she smiled.
"Maham.. What are you doing here? Come with me" Anisa said while coming in the room, and Maham left the room following her mother. Hamdan also sat down in his father's lap. Hamdan was on his left thigh and Shifa was on right, Maryam was sitting taking her little boy in her lap.
"When you are coming back to home?" Anwar asked while caressing the cheek of his younger son.
"I haven't decided yet, but if you want then I will come back today" Maryam said and Anwar smiled, he kissed Hamdan's cheek and held Maryam's hand.
"Ab tum logo ke bina ghar me dil nahi lagta" Anwar stated and Maryam smiled with slightly bowed head.
(now I don't feel good in home without you all)
"If you are fine then come back to home tomorrow or within some days" Anwar said and Maryam nodded with a smile.
"I'll come to home tomorrow" Maryam said and Anwar also nodded while taking his younger son in his arms and kissed his forehead. Maryam got happy tears in her eyes after watching the scene.
'It seems like this boy has bring good luck for me' Maryam said about her son and a smile.
"Now I want to live my kids and my wife in my own home" Anwar said in small voice and Maryam also smiled.
