THIRD PERSON'S POV :

(Flashback)

"suniye.. I packed your clothes." Maryam who was laying on the bed beside Anwar informed him and he nodded.

Hamdan was sitting on the edge of the bed, beside anwar,

"Shaffo" Hamdan call Shifa who was standing on the floor holding the side of bed.

"What you have said Hamdan?" Maryam asked suddenly

"Shaffo" Hamdan repeated and Maryam smiled and nodded.

"They both love each other so much" Maryam said happily and Anwar nodded while looking at Hamdan.

"Papa when will Shifa go to school?" Hamdan asked and Anwar replied "after two years"

"Will she got admitted in my school?" Handam asked and this time Maryam also looked up to know about the answer.

"Yes she will go to your school" Anwar replied and Hamdan became happy, he tried to lifted Shifa to the bed but couldn't as she was a chubby baby. So Anwar picked up Shifa from the floor and full family was on bed. Parents were laying and their children were playing between both of them.

Suddenly... Pressing her mouth with her palm Maryam made her way towards the washroom as she was feinh the urge of emptying her stomach

"Are you alright?" Anwar asked when she came back from the washroom, her face was looking pale and eyes were half closed.

"No" she replied while throwing herself on the bed and closed her eyes

"do you want to eat anything" Anwar asked while placing his palm on her forehead.

"Water" Maryam mumbled and Anwar passed the glass of water to her but she didn't got up as she was weak. Slipping an arm around her shoulders he made her sat down and passed the glass of water to her.

"Do you have your medicines or not?" He asked and Maryam stay silent as she forgot to took them.

"Maryam I'm asking something!" that was a scolding, in which Maryam shook her head slowly

"Have fruits in evening?" Anwar asked as a scold and Maryam again shook her head with lower gaze.

"How careless." He mumbled angrily and went out from the room after some five minutes he came back with some apples and pears.

"Cut them and eat" He ordered but in same rude manner.

"Maryam sat down on bed and cut the fruits, she passed a slice to Hamdan and a small slice to Shifa then Anwar who shook his head then she started having them

" Suniye"

"Hmm" He lifted his head towards her.

"Do you want a boy or a girl?" Maryam asked and Anwar looked at Hamdan. And remembered that he wanted a daughter after getting Hamdan.

"Boy...." Maryam's breath got hitched after listening that. ''Boy or girl no matter" Anwar completed his sentence and Maryam took a deep breath of relief

"If its a daughter" she asked with feary voice

"Then I'll give her name Fabiha" Anwar said surprisingly without rudeness and Maryam smiled happily.

"It means you don't have any problem if it's a daughter?" Maryam asked and Anwar's brows become furrowed

"Why would I have any problem with my own daughter?" Coming back to his signature tone Anwar asked and Maryam nodded with a smile and bite the apple slice.

"Now take your medicine and sleep on time." He ordered and Maryam nodded.

"Hamdan brush your teeth without wasting time and then sleep" He commanded his son. Maryam lifted Shifa in her lap and kissed her chubby cheeks.

Anwar was in home because he had to leave for Surat in some two hours. He was sitting in his bedroom, Shifa and Hamdan were playing in toys sitting on the bed.

"Papa" Hamdan said and Anwar looked at him.

"Paaaapa" Shifa babbled trying to copy Hamdan and Anwar suddenly looked at her.

"Papa see Shifa is calling you" Hamdan said happily and pinched Shifa's cheek

"Shaffo say Hamdan bhai" Hamdan commanded her and she chuckled and showed her little toothy smile.

"Daan bai" Shifa utter and Hamdan kissed her cheek happily Anwar was witnessing the scene with amazement, even real siblings don't love each other, they also feels jealous of their younger siblings as they feels their parent's love would be divided among them. But Hamdan was loving his step sister more than a real sister.

"Hamdan come here" Maryam's call was clearly audible in the room but Hamdan didn't went to kitchen to listen

"Hamdan...." Maryam again call him

"Hamdan mummy is summoning you. go beta" Anwar said in ordering way but before Hamdan could respond to his father Maryam entered in the room with a bowl half filled with grapes.

"Hamdan you wanted grapes, take this" Maryam placed the bowl on the floor between Hamdan and Shifa, then turned to go back to kitchen. She was looking tired. "What are you doing now?" Anwar asked and Maryam turned her head to saw him

"I'm cleaning the kitchen" Maryam replied and turned to go to kitchen but Anwar stopped her.

"Kitchen is not dirty.... No need to clean that, take rest for some time and bring grapes for yourself too" Anwar ordered and Maryam nodded. She didn't bring grapes for herself but lay down on bed and in no time she was slept.

She was doing every work of home during pregnancy. She was weak because of her morning sickness as well as she was breastfeeding Shifa.... All these things making her more tired.

"Papa when will you come back?" Hamdan asked and Anwar realised that he was watching Maryam, who was sleeping beside him since last ten minutes.

"IN three days" closing the news papers which was in his hands he replied to his son and gestured Hamdan to come to him. Hamdan sat down on his father's lap and kissed his father's cheek.

"Beta I'm going, you have to behave like a good boy, listen what mummy says. Got it?" Anwar talk to her his son and he nodded with a smile.

"Papa I don't trouble mummy" Hamdan said innocently and Anwar nodded.

"I know beta, you are a good boy. But mummy is ill that's why I am telling you this" Anwar said and Hamdan nodded, then got a kiss from his father.

"Papa when will mummy come back?" Hamdan asked and Anwar caressed his head

"when you will be grown up" Anwar said with a Down face and Hamdan happily smiled.

"Maryam.. Maryam... Wakeup" Anwar slowly shook her shoulder and she opened her eyes

"I'm going" He said and she noticed him fully ready to go.

"Why you didn't wake me up before?" she asked but he didn't said anything. She was sleeping since two hours without any worries because Anwar was in home to handle Hamdan and Shifa was not a trouble maker type kid, and her Hamdan bhai was enough to handle her.

"Take your medicine on time and I have bring oranges and lychee for you" Maryam smiled and nodded. She said last night that she wanted to eat those fruits and Anwar brought the same.

"Your wallet is...." She was saying something while standing up on the floor but felt dizziness and going to fell but maintained her balance

"This is all because of your carelessness" Anwar scolded her in his unchangeable rude tone and she listened without saying anything because that was true to some extent, Maryam was careless towards herself she never eat fruits untill she wouldn't eat anwar's scolding for that.

"I'm sorry" she mumbled and he nodded while stepping towards his mother's room.

After some five or ten minutes Maryam went towards Her mother-in-law's room holding anwar's wallet which he forgot on night stand.

"Did she argue with you?" When Maryam went closer to the door she listened Anwar asking the same to his mother .

"No she didn't argue but she ignored me..." Amma complained and Maryam entered in the room

"Amma... I'll scold her for this you don't worry" Anwar said to his mother and Maryam felt hurt.

'Next time I'll argue with his mother then I'll ask to him which one is better? Argument or ignoring his mother's taunts' Maryam said in her heart and passed the wallet to Anwar. Without saying anything she moved back to her room.

After the Rasam-e-kaan bharai Anwar entered in the room where Maryam was sitting feeding Shifa, she was angry on Anwar.

(poisoned the ears of Anwar against Maryam)

"I'm going" Anwar said and she didn't looked up

"Allah Hafiz" she said in ignoring way.

"Take care" Anwar said

"Don't worry about me, Amma is here to take my care." Maryam Taunt on him without looking up and he understood the reason.

"Amma said that you ignored her scoldings" Anwar said in his signature tone while sitting beside her on the bed

"I'm sorry, I won't ignore her scoldings. Now onwards I'll reply her on her every taunts." Maryam said while controlling her anger and Anwar wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"Achha kra jawab nhi diya, agar amma kuch bhi kahe to ignore karna, koi zarurat nhi hai jawab dene ki" He said in half rude tone and Maryam looked at him, she was still in anger.

(it's better that you haven't said anything in reply. Just ignore Amma's taunt and no need to do argument)

"Taki aap mujhe us cheez ke liye daat saken!" She complained with anger and turned her head to other side.

(so that you can scolds me for that)

"Abhi daat raha hu kya?" He asked with same expressionless face and cold tone.

(Am I scolding you right now?)

"No" Maryam mumbled and turned her face towards him but didn't looked up.

"I'm getting late" He Said while removing his hand from her shoulder and she looked up.

"Take care" He said and she nodded.

"You too take care" she said in slow voice looking at his face. After kissing Hamdan's cheek he approached towards the door and Maryam followed to see off him after separating Shifa from her frame.

"Allah Hafiz" Maryam said when he was on the main door, he turned and stopped for a moment. Leaning towards her Anwar kissed her forehead giving her a shock with his unexpected move and next moment he was out of reach of her sight.

After Three Days

Lights were off, and she was laying on the bed in just unconscious condition Since morning. Shifa was crying with hunger but she wasn't in condition to feed her.

"Mummy.... Mummy.." Hamdan shook her shoulder and she tried to open her eyes but couldn't.

"Mummyyy" Hamdan tried his best to wake her up.

"Hmm hamda...n"

''Mummy I'm hungry, give me food" He said and Maryam opened her eyes with difficulty.

"Eat apple" she replied and again closed her eyes. Hamdan went to kitchen and drew an apple from fridge, and starting biting that with his teeth but Shifa was still crying with hunger. He drew out another small apple and gave that in shifa's hand, he was only enough intelligent in the age of five. Shifa started playing with that apply like a ball and forgot about her crying.

After sometime (almost an hour) Hamdan heard a knock on the door and he ran towards the door thinking that his dadi (grandmother) came back from Rani's home. She was staying in her daughter's home since two days as she was little sick and needing her mother to handle her children.

Hamdan open the door and he was surprised to witnessed her father.

"Papaaaaa" He literally jumped on his place.

"How is my beta" caressing Hamdan's head Anwar asked and enter in the home.

"Papa I was missing you" Hamdan said and Anwar kneeled down in front of him.

"Papa also missed you beta, but why you didn't went to school?" Anwar asked to Hamdan when realised that, at that time Hamdan should be in school bus. 

"Papa I didn't went to school" Anwar's brows become furrowed while stepping towards his room.

"Amma I'm home" Anwar said loudly and Hamdan informed him about her absence. Anwar entered in the room and found Maryam sleeping facing opposite to door, Shifa was also sleeping, she became so much tired after crying that she slept on the floor.

"Maryam serve lunch, I'm very hungry" saying that in ordering way Anwar entered in the washroom. And after taking a shower when he came out found everything in same situation

"Papa I'm also hungry, I haven't have anything since morning" Hamdan said and Anwar looked at Maryam.

"Haven't mummy give you breakfast?" Anwar asked and Hamdan shook his head.

"Mummy is sleeping since morning" Hamdan said innocently and Anwar looked at Shifa who was sleeping on her stomach. Picking up her from the floor Anwar made her lay in the cradle and sat down the bed beside Maryam.

"Maryam.. Maryam..." Shaking her shoulder Anwar tried to make her awake but she was almost unconscious, she tried to open her eye and got success in that

"What happened to you? Have you eat something or not?" He asked but she was still laying with closed eyes.

Placing two fingers on the inside of her wrist Anwar checked her BP which was very low. He went to kitchen and made lemonade for her Maryam.

Sitting beside her he made her sat on the bed "Maryam, have it" He said in his signature tone.

She was sitting with closed eyes, back was resting against his chest. He made her drank lemonade with his hand and she felt better after some ten minutes.

"Where were you?" Maryam mumbled while opening her eyes and looking at him.

"I'm back na.. Take rest now" He said and made her lay down again before caressing her head then looked at his son who was hankering for food.
