A hand softly stroke my hair, and I smile before shifting my head to her lap. I was already awake, but laying with close eyes for some half an hour.

"Wake up... I have make your breakfast, even I cooked the lunch too and you're still sleeping" I open my eyes and looked towards my Mummy.

"Why you've been cooking? You should take rest" I muttered without letting my laziness go away and she smiled.

"My lazy daughter hadn't wake up to give me breakfast, what could I do?" I sat down on bed and looked towards the wall clock which was showing half past twelve, I was surprised on myself that I sleeping for so long.

"Mummy you should wake me up" I said while lifting my hair to make them a bun and grabbed my hair clip which was beside pillow.

"You were sleeping peacefully so I didn't disturb you" She said and I smiled. "Go, get a shower I'm making tea for you" She said but I shook my head

"You don't have to do any work, you're a guest behave like one and take rest" Ordering her rightfully I stepped out from the after.

When I came to kitchen after freshen up my mummy was already transferring tea into mugs

"Mummy you never listened to me" I complained while drawing out the packet of biscuits and bread.

"Have you talk to Adnaan?" She asked and I shook my head. "I Didn't" muttering that I sat down beside her, passing her the slice of brown bread

"Beta h.." I didn't let her complete

"But I have decided to give him a chance" I Added and mummy sighed with relief.

"Great" She muttered and I sip the tea. Adnaan's past hurt me very much but sometimes moving on is better, I love him and I can see love for me in his eyes... I can't break this relationship just because of his past. The He was roaming around me and begging me for another chance made me realize that he wasn't that Adnaan who wanted to get rid of me and our marriage.. This Adnaan love me and I couldn't afford to lose this love. It wasn't like I have forgotten about his past but I know I'll forget that with passing time.

"Sara.." I looked at mummy and hummed. "Where are you lost?" I shook my head on her question and sip the tea.

"Today Adnaan was looking satisfied, he had a smile on his face which was showing his love for you" I smiled but this time a sad one. It was still hurting to know about him.

"Now what happened? Why are you tensed?" Mummy asked and I shook my head with a fake smile.

"Nothing"

"Tell me"

"Mummy I don't have power to tolerate if Adnaan will betray me again.." I shared and she placed her hand on my shoulder.

"There isn't any guarantee of future, but work on your present this is the foundation of your future" Mummy told me and I just nodded with a smile but a fear in my heart. At the same time my mobile started ringing and that was Adnaan's call.

"Hello''

"Phuppo Jaan ke liye appointment le liya hai mene, tum dono tayyar ho jana 6 bje se pehle tayyar ho jana, aur unki sari purani reports le lena" He said and I felt something fishy in his voice.

(I have made an appointment for phuppo jaan, you two get ready before 6 o'clock, and take her old reports.)

"Tumhe kya hua?" I asked as his voice was showing hint of anger and stress both.

(What happened to you?)

"kuch nhi.. Kyu?" He asked in same voice.

(I'm fine, why are you asking?)

"Preshan lag rahe ho.."

"Achha.. Ab tu meri awaz se bhi judge karne lagi ki main pareshan hu ya nhi..." I stay silent after listening that.

(Really? Now you started judging with my voice if I'm tensed or not?)

"Tayyar rehna.."

(Be ready)

"okay" I muttered

"Sun.."

(listen)

"Hmm"

"Khana mat banana.. Phuppo Jaan ko dinner bahar karayenge" He added and ''Fine" I hummed slowly before ending the call.

(Don't cook, we'll have dinner for outside)

The way Adnaan love my mother was something which I can't ignore about him, when my own brother was not taking care of mummy he was behaving like a son not a nephew or son-in-law. I had many reasons to hate him but this reason was bigger than anything else to respect him.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Adnaan, this is work place... This should be the first and last time when I have listen something like this... Resolve your personal matters out side the office" Avinash scolded him.

"Bro I wasn't c..."

"Whatever.. No need to give excuse and focus on work" Adnaan nodded silently, he couldn't debate with Avinash as he was the son of his Boss

"Back to the work" Avinash ordered and Adnaan looked at Mansi who was standing beside him, they both turned to go but a voice stopped them.

"Mansi I haven't tell you to go, you stay here" Avinash ordered on which Mansi nodded before turning towards him. Adnaan leave Avinash's cabin and Mansi sat down on chair after placing her left leg over right.

"Yes, Avinash?"

"Mansi tum Chahti kya ho?" He asked as he knew Mansi was at fault. She should be in limits at her work place.

(Mansi what do you want?)

"My Promotion and Adnaan's demotion" She put her both hands on table top while saying that and Avinash furrow his brows.

"Work hard to get promotion and beat Adnaan by your work, but it's hard that he'll get demoted because of his passion towards work." Avinash said clearly and Mansi Smirked in seductive way.

"There is always a shortcut to reach the destination... And I believe in shortcuts" She smirked.

"What do you mean to say?" He asked with a smirk on is face and brows furrowed

"You're not enough naive to don't understand what do I mean" Straighting her hair by running her fingers Mansi Replied and Avinash raised his brow while resting himself backward on that comfortable leather covered chair.

"Don't you think you're trying being over smart" He smirked but Mansi shook her head

"I don't have to try, I'm over smart and I know this" She muttered in clever tone and Avinash smirked.

"I never knew that I have such a smart girl in my office since years" His right brow arched like a praising and Mansi rolled her eyes.

"All Thanks to Adnaan to show your reality, otherwise you will always stay inside your shell." Avinash added and Mansi shrugged.

"So may I get promotion this year?" She asked and Avinash smirked.

"Depends on your performance. The better you will perform the more you will be promoted" He replied and Mansi smirked.

"Don't worry about performance, you won't be disappointed" Saying that with a smirk she left his cabin and Avinash smirked.

On the other hand, unknown to what was happening in other corner of office building, Adnaan left for home after completing his work, the day was tiring for him, not because of work load but due to argument with Mansi. But he pick Sara and his aunty to visit doctor. He was determined to show himself just normal as nothing happened in office.

============

"Young man.. Mummy ka dhyan rakho.. Ye reports to Bata rahi hain ki inke bete aur bahu ne inhe bohot preshan kar rakha hai." The doctor said in friendly manner after paying one more glance at report which were screaming loudly about the critical condition of patient.

(Young man take care of your mother, These reports are telling that her son and daughter-in-law are troublesome)

"So doctor, tell us some solution" Instead of clearing that he wasn't the son but son-in-law Adnaan asked with a smile And Sara smiled in her heart.

"Happiness is her biggest remedy... Medicines can only work on temporary basis but if you want a permanent treatment then give her a good healthy diet without any stress." Adnaan nodded while noticing doctor writing something in his messy writing. And then they three of them stepped out from the clinic.

"Phuppo Jaan, I've booked an appointment tomorrow morning a boy will to our home to collect your blood samples" Adnaan said in hushed tone while taking steps towards cars but his eyes were fixed on his mobile screen.

"Adnaan why are you wasting your time and money on me.. I'll go back in two or three days" This time Adnaan looked at His aunty and then Sara

"You're not going anywhere, stay with us" Adnaan said and open the front seat door for his aunt, but Rushda open the back door and hopped in, leaving front seat for Sara.

"Beti aur Damad ke sath rehna achha nhi lagta" Rushda replied in hushed tone

(It seems inappropriate to stay with Daughter and son-in-law)

"Come on phuppo Jaan, don't call me son-in-law, it sounds like stranger... Only son is enough!" Adnaan said with a genuine smile.

"Yeah mummy now you stay with us" Sara Also support her husband's decision but her mother shook her head.

"No.. I'll go back to my home."

"Phuppo Jaan you resemble your daughter in stubbornness" Adnaan sighed and Sara glare him which he ignored preferred to focus on drive.

Sara rolled her eyes and started seeing outside the shut glass, she was lost in deep thoughts when Adnaan pushed the brake on red light. He looked at Sara's lost self who seems unaware about anything, Adnaan was silently watching her because day by day he was exploring a new Sara and that day he found a deep thinker form of her. Before they both think something else a small knock on the glass grabbed Adnaan's attention and he looked towards the reason of that knock.

"Sahab aap teen din se kaha the?" As soon as Adnaan down the glass window he was encountered by that question and a smile made its way to his lips. He was the same little boy who sells floral bracelets on road.

(Sir where were you since three days?)

"Aaj kitne bache hain?" Adnaan asked looking towards the wire ring which that little hand was holding.

(How many are left today?)

"Only three" Opening three fingers from her fist That the little boy said with a happy face and Adnaan pulled out the wallet from his pocket.

(Sir, I'm unable to sell a single one today)

He passed hundred rupees note to that boy and took those three floral bracelets. "Keep the change" The boy smiled happily after listening that and Sara smiled on kind heartedness of her Bandar (monkey)

She never knew that Adnaan could help anyone in that way, she never expected anything good from him but she was also exploring new things about him with passing time.

Adnaan looked towards three floral brackets then looked towards Sara.

"Phuppo Jaan" Passing a pair of bracelets to his aunt Adnaan smiled.

"Beta what will I do with this?" She asked and Adnaan smiled. "Wear it.. What else will any can do with this?" He replied in friendly manner and passed a single bracelet towards Sara. Which she didn't hold just to show her value...

Being a wife it was her right!

"Chinese or Mughlai?" Adnaan asked in whisper and She shrugged.

"Anything" she replied rudely and he looked at his aunty through mirror.

"Phuppo Jaan.."

"Hmm"

"Let's go to a good Thai restaurant!" Adnaan suggested with enthusiasm and Sara's breath was stucked in her throat, she hated Thai food because of its mild taste which lay near tasteless and that fact was known by Adnaan as well as her mother

"If you want to eat Thai food, then let's go for it" Suppressing her smile Rushda replied because she alse knew Adnaan was teasing Sara.

"No.. We're not going to any Thai restaurant... Mummy doesn't like Thai food.." Sara told Adnaan and he give a quick glance towards his aunty who was on back seat.

''Really phuppo Jaan?"

"Yeah beta.. I don't like Thai food very much" Adnaan have an innocent and disappointed look to his aunt and Sara smiled happily but her smile was short lived.

"But today if you both wanna eat Thai food then I'll also like to have that" Sara's smile dropped and Adnaan felt like a winner.

"No mummy... You don't like Thai.." Sara said while gritting her teeth like she was trying to made her mother remember about her choice but Rushda was her mother and smarter than her.

"Yeah.. But its fine for today" Adnaan showed his smile being saluted by thirty two sparkling teeth and Sara huffed.

"I don't wanna eat Thai.. I wanna eat Mughlai" she put her demand like a brat making Adnaan smiled but he suppressed his smile.

"Jangli billi.. That's not good.. Today we'll eat Thai food, yaar respect your mothers choice" Adnaan teased her and she picked her purse to hit Adnaan's arm, but stopped herself as he was driving.

"Shut your mouth and turn the car towards a good Mughlai restaurant" Sara ordered and Adnaan smiled wholeheartedly because she was coming to her older form.

"Phuppo Jaan.. Are you watching how your daughter is behaving with me.. Teach her some manners"

"Main soch samajh kar izzat deti hu.. Tum jese logo par waste nhi karti" Sara replied before looking away from his face. And soon the car was parked in front of a lavish Mughlai Restaurant.

(I give respect to those people who deserve.)

"Phuppo Jaan Iski harkate dekh kar to dil chah raha hai ise thele wale parathe bhi na khilau.. Wo to aap ki wagah se ise itne achhe restaurant le aaya hu" Adnaan told his aunty when three of them were stepping in the restaurant and Sara huffed.

(Phuppo Jaan I want to make her eat street food, but just because of you I'm bringing her with myself in this lavish restaurant)

"Go to hell.." Taking back steps she said and held the handle of glass gate to go back but he held her arm. "Leave me.. I can fine dine with my own money" she wiggled and Adnaan pulled her with himself

"Aaja meri ameer biwi... Mujhe pta hai tere paas bohot pese hain" Sara huffed but took step towards the empty table.

(Come my rich wife ... I know you have a lot of money.)

"Mummy mujhe na is se nafrat hai.." Sara pointed towards Adnaan

(Mummy I hate him)

"For your kind information.. I also hate you.. Only hate" He added and both glare each other.

"Mummy I'll kill him with my bare hands" Sara grit her teeth

"At least wear rubber gloves to prevent fringer prints... How unsophisticated, tsk tsk" Sara huffed while making herself stand.

"Where are you going now?" Her mother asked what Adnaan wanted to ask.

"Washroom" Saying that Sara stepped towards the right side of that big hall and Adnaan laughed on her anger.

"Kyu preshan karte ho use?" Adnaan looked at the complaining eyes and smiled softly.

(Why do you annoy her?)

"Agar ise pareshan nhi karta to achha nahi lagta... I just love when her nose tip turns red due to anger" Adnaan smiled and started ordering dinner for three of them.

(I don't feel good until I annoy her)

"You both are out of my mind, but you both are perfect for each other. Masha Allah" He smiled and in the meantime Sara came back and gave a sharp sight to Adnaan

"I've ordered a special dish for you" Adnaan smiled brightly looking at Sara and she felt happy but didn't show her happiness.

"Khayegi?" He asked with love filled eyes and Sara's lips curved into a beautiful smile which gave satisfaction to her mother's heart that Sara was happy with Adnaan.

(Will you eat?)

"Haan.. Khaa lungi.. Aesa kyu behave kar rahe ho jese duniya ki unique dish mangwa li." She rolled her eyes just to pretend herself smarter than him.

(okay.. I'll have that! Why are you behaving like you've ordered a unique dish for me?)

"By the way what you've ordered specially for me?" When the dinner was served Sara asked trying her best to hide the happiness in her heart, but somehow her eyes but doing cheating and reflecting the glimpse of her heart

"Fish foot curry" Passing an empty plate to Sara Adnaan replied with happiness and Sara blinked two times because she never listened the name of that dish.

"Fish foot curry? Is this a mughlai dish?" She asked with confusion and Her mother smack her forehead but Adnaan laughed loudly forgetting all the ethical rules of having dinner in a public place.

"Sara.. Don't behave like an idiot!" Her mother said in disbelieve because she never expected Such idiotic answer from her vice and smart daughter. And then Sara put some pressure on her brain which made her realised that fish don't have foot.

"Mummy... Mujhe nahi rehna is Jangli Bandar ke sath.. Main aap ke sath wapas jaungi" Sara huffed like a cry baby and Adnaan felt so happy with her reaction but soon his ear was grabbed by His dear phuppo Jaan.

(Mummy I don't wanna live with this wild monkey, I'll go back with you)

"When you are troubling my daughter in front of me then what would you do at my back" Adnaan hissed while trying to free his ear and Sara laughed happily.

"Phuppo Jaan, your daughter is behaving innocent in front of you otherwise she is not at back seat... Leave my ear.. Please.." Adnaan requested and His already red ear was left from the grip.

"Now stop this nonsense and start having dinner" Sara and Adnaan both nodded with a smile and started having dinner.

==============

Hanging the well ironed clothes for next day, Sara yawned and looked towards her mother who was going to sleep soon.

"Good night" She kissed her mother's cheek before laying down beside her giving her a bone crushing hug which killed the slumber of that poor lady.

"Good night, but go to your room"

"This is also my room" Sara mumbled closing her eyes and her mother furrowed.

"Sara.. I'm serious, go to your room" trying to push her away her mother others but she was hugging her mother like a five years old girl hugs her teady bear

"Mummyyyyy..."

"Go.." An strict order and Sara pulled a face before moving towards other room with an annoyed feeling because Adnaan was present there, but she was surprised when noticed his laying on his back placing one arm under his head and other on his chest, eyes were fixed on ceiling and he was lost somewhere. She watched him silently then slipped herself under the blanket, just beside him but he didn't move by a single inch. She preferred to ignore and close her eyes but sleep was not consuming her, after some ten times she turned her side to see Adnaan who was still in same position.

"What happened?" She asked trying to be rude.

"Hmm" He suddenly looked at her

"You're looking tensed" Sara said in hushed tone, "Nothing" He replied and closed his eyes but Sara held his arm to stop him to turn his side.

"There is something... You're sounding worried in afternoon too" Adnaan was shocked that evenafter trying his best to hide the feelings from Sara he was failed.

"Nothing special... There is a small issue in office" This time he replied on hushed tone and Sara looked towards him making lines on her forehead.

"Issue in office or issue with Mansi?" She asked in almost no voice and Adnaan looked at her, but decided to stay silent for a while

"Adnaan, I'm asking something."

"Yeah... I had an argument with her in front of whole office" He replied and Sara was surprised.

"then?" she asked seriously and Adnaan sighed before turning his side, he adjusted his head on pillow and spread his arm, that was a silent gesture for Sara to place her head there

"You own a different place in my life. You're my pious woman and Our relationship is righteous and pure as the driven snow" That wasn't the answer of her question but still that was one of the biggest statement from Adnaan they both keep watching in each other's eyes and Adnaan shift closer to her while encircling his arm around her waist.

"Adnaan.."

"Hmm.."

"Waqt ke sath sath badal mat jana..." She demanded and he smiled Sadly

(Don't change with time)

"Jitna badalna tha bakad chuka.. Ab aur nhi" He whispered with a true smile and pressed his lips in between her eyes.

(I've already changed as much as I should have. Now no more)

Sara's heart skipped a beat on that small kiss, and Adnaan pulled her even more closer to his chest.

"I'm sorry, forgive me" He demanded one more time

"Don't make me remember about that anymore" Mumbling that she close her eyes while placing her both hands on his chest and soon she was consumed by slumber.

Adnaan felt he for the missing puzzle piece of his heart which was only source to bring peace back to his heart.

But they both were unknown that their peace was indigestible for someone, when they were celebrating their silent love in each other's arms at the same time someone was planning to take revenge of her insult by separating both of them.
