Day Dreams

Lost wishes scattered in the field of Hope, 

Hoping to see them reaped in the morris, 

Down with the soil of desire, 

Yet they plant only doubts!

Then what thy envisages?

So many dawns woken with Hope, Yet dusk saw only the wet trail of tears, 

Left as an aftermath of buried hope, 

How many times the eyes had lit up,

How many sunsets it saw it being extinguished, 

How many seasons saw spring in the being, 

How many winters saw the fallen hope of the being, 

The deep slumber of night,

Could not give the restiveness desired!

Day dreams took her to a place of contentment,

Where she forgot her sorrow for a while!

Hope springs eternal in the human breast!

For her it did in the sunflower fields, In the smiling faces of daffodils,

Under the dancing boughs of cherry blossoms!

My mind does not speak the language my heart waits to hear,

Lost in the slumber of its own, 

It makes its own dreams anew,

Lost in the haze of delusional reality, 

My being beating an anxious beat in answer, 

How I long to find the restiveness, 

None ever awarded to me,

The respite I seek no where in sight!
