Aadil's Pov

I opened my eyes and glanced at the clock. It showed 3:15 am at midnight. Pushing the comforter, I sat on the bed to see Inayat.

When my gaze fell on her frame. For one moment I felt pity for her. She was sleeping like a ball while shivering. I didn't even give her a blanket. That's why she was sleeping like this in the cold weather.

I stepped down from the bed and went to my closet. I pulled out a blanket from that and went back to her.

I covered her with the blanket and got back to my bed. But suddenly something cross my mind. And I smirked.

After completing my work, I slept peacefully.

My peaceful sleep broke with the alarm tone. I opened my eyes and started searching for Inayat, but to my surprise she wasn't in the room.

"Where did she go and that too so early in the morning?" I asked myself. Just then, I heard some sound which was coming from the closet.

"Ohh! Toh woh closet mein hai." I said while smirking.

(So, she's in the closet)

I went to the closet and twisted the doorknob, but it was locked from the inside.

How dare she?

I knocked on the door loudly in rage. And heard the unlocking sound of the knob. She opened the door, and I glared at her.

"Aise ghur kyon rahe hai? Subha subha." She asked me, knitting her eyebrows.

(Why are you glaring at me early in the morning.)

By holding her hand, I pulled her out of the closet.

"Kyon ki subha subha tumhari shakal jo dekh liya." I said and entered the closet. I was about to close the door when I heard her sound.

(You ruined my day by showing your face.)

"Aadat daal lijiye. Abse haar subha humarai shakal hi apko dekhna padega."

(Get used to it. Now you have to see my face every morning.)

I hit the door hearing her answer.

"Isi baat se hi toh mujhe haar paal gussah ata hai ki mujhe abse tumhari shakal dekhna padega. Haar subha uthke aur sone se pehle raatko. Kya socha tha shaadi se pehle aur kya ho raha hai." I muttered and started the shower to have a warm bath.

(I feel angry thinking that now I have to see your face only, before going to bed at night and after waking up in the morning. I had so many dreams about this before marriage now see what is happening to me.)

After taking a shower, I changed into a new pair of cloaths and stepped out of the bathroom.

Entering my room, I found Inayat standing near the bed.

"Yaha paad kyon khadi ho?" I asked her, wearing my watch.

(Why are you standing here like a ghost?)

"Apke bed paar aap bethne nehi denge. Apke study chair mein bhi beth nehi sakti. Aur apne toh kal couch bhi gila kaar diya tha toh isi liye khadi hu."

(You forbidden me to sit on your bed and I'm even forbidden to sit on your chair too. And thanks to you that the couch is still soaked with water as you poured water on it last night.)

(Aur haan ab ap puchenge niche kyon nehi gayi. Apke bageir main niche jati toh baki sab puchenge ap kaha hai. Yeh sab jawab na dena pade mujhe isiliye main niche nehi gayi. Ek sath jayenge toh koi kuch puchenge bhi nehi." She narrated her statement and I was just listening to her nonsense words.

(Now you will ask me why I didn't go downstairs. So let me tell you if I go there without you they will ask me, why aren't you with me? So to avoid such a situation I decided to wait for you then we will go downstairs for breakfast together.)

Yeah Alaah! What a chatter box is this girl? I just asked her a question and she made a story as an answer.

"Aur kuch puchna hai?" She asked me, and I glared at her.

(Do you wanna ask something more?)

"Ek short and simple question pucha tha maine. Aur tumne itna bada sa lacture suna diya. Mujhe na tumhari bakwas sunne ki koi iccha nehi hai." I said, rolling my eyes and starting to go out of the room.

(I asked you a question and you give me lacture in that short answer. Look, girl. I don't have any interest in listening to your nonsense.)

"Weise kal raat k liye sukriya. Apne hi humare upar kambal oda tha na. Obviously ap nehi karenge toh aur koun karega. Iss kamre mein toh main aur ap hi sote hai. Ap itna bhi bura nehi hai jitna ap dikhate rehte hai. Aur jitna main sochta tha." Now she again started. Can't she shut her mouth for some time. Always blabbering nonsense.

(Well, thank for last night. Wasn't it you who covered me with the blanket? Obviously, it was you otherwise, who could it be other than you. Only you and I sleep in this room. I think you are not as bad as you pretend to be.)

"Niche jana hai ki yahi rehna hai. Ek kaam karo. Yehi raho aur khudse bate karte raho. Main yaha paad rehke apna kaan pakana nehi chahta." I said to her and opened the door and she followed me.

(Are you going downstairs or not. You do one thing talk to yourself. I'm going. I have no interest in listening to your nonsense.)

Inayat's Pov.....

When we reached the dining hall, everyone was present there. I greeted them with all respect.

"Beta betho. Aur nashta karo." Baba told me, gesturing for me to sit with Aadil.

(Dear, have a seat and have breakfast.)

"Bade Abbu pehle unko sabse milwa toh lijiye. Unko toh pata hi nehi koun unki kya lagte hai." Suddenly Saaba said to Baba.

(Bade Abbu, let's give her our introduction. She doesn't know us properly.)

"Yeh sab khane k baad bhi toh ho sakta hai na beta." Baba replied, and I also agreed with him. Now, at this time, I was starving. So I just wanted food to fill my empty stomach

And about the introduction of the family members, it can be done after breakfast, right?

(Introduction can be done after breakfast, Dear.)

"Nehi. Saaba thik keh rahi hai. Abhi hi karlo. Khana bhaga thodi na jaa raha hai." This man. I hate him the most. Always make trouble for me.

(No, Saaba is right. Food is not going anywhere.)

"Bhabi jaan. Main hun Saaba. Apki sister-in-law." Saaba said to me forwarding her hand to me.

(Bhabi, I'm Saba, your sister-in-law.)

I smiled at her and shook my hand with her. She was sitting next to me.

Really very sweet girl she is.

"Assalamualaikum bhabi Jaan. I'm Arham. Your husband's brother. I mean your Brother-in-law." Ohh! So that means he is Arham. Who is same age mine. But he is calling me bhabi jaan. Now I'm feeling a women now. Ha. Ha.

"Walaikum assalam. Arham bhai." I said to him with a smile.

Suddenly from nowhere a boy came from there with swag and stood with Saaba. He was looking at me but not with a good glance.

"Hello! Inayat. Good morning." He greeted me forwarding his hand towards me. I frowned on that but didn't forward my hand. Who is he? I don't like this type of boy. Who always tried to cling to girls.

"Good morning." I also wished him back with a fake smile. After seeing my reaction, he pulled back his hand and put it into his pocket.

"I'm Sahil. Saaba's brother. Though I'm your brother-in-law but you can call me Sahil. I won't mind. As you are the same age as me." Now he startex his nonsense blabbering in front of elders.

"Astakhfirullah. Khudah ka khouf karo Sahil. Yeh kya tamiz hota hai apne bhabi se baat karne ki. Bhale hi woh tumhare age ki hai yah tumse choti. Hai toh rishte mein tumse badi. So from now respect her. And don't dare to call her by her name. Call her Bhabi. Only bhabi. Got it."

Ohho! My shohar got possessive over me. Wonderful! Great!

(How dare you talk to your sister-in-law in that tone? It doesn't matter even though she's at your age or younger than you she's older than you in relationships.)

"Aadil sahi keh raha hai. Salima begum tum apne bete ko kya talim diya hai. Bade ki lihas karna taak nehi sikhaya tumne." Dadi jaan scolded chachi. And she glared at me.

(Aadil is right. Salima begum, didn't you educate your son properly? Where is his manners. You didn't even teach him how to respect the elders.)

What? Why is she glaring at me? It's her son's fault, not mine. Did I ask him to say that? Sahil called me Inayat in front of the elders, or did I say, "Come, Sahil, do a handshake with me." It's him. He came towards me and said those nonsense things.

Huh!

"Ek baat toh mujhe saaf saaf samajh mein aa gayi ki yeh chachi mujhe bilkul pasand nehi karti. Aur mera jeena haram karne wali hai. Yeah Allah kis paap ki saza de rahe ho mujhe." I said to myself and the last one to Allah.

(One thing was clear that Chachi was going to make my life hell in this house. Allah, what have I done to deserve this hell?)

"Dadi. Jaan. Ismein badi baat kya hai. Duniya badal raha hai. Aur ap log hai ki abhi abhi 70's mein jee rahe hai. Grow up." Sahil said in chill mode and sat next to Saaba.

(Dadi Jaan, generation has changed but you all are still stuck in 70's century.)

"Touba. Touba. Allah maaf kare. Kiss jhahil ko humare ghar paad bhaij diya." Dadi Jaan said, looking at the ceiling and forwarding her two hands.

(God forbid us. Which idiot did you send to our house?)

"Maaf kijiye Ammi." Chachi apologized and sat next to Ammi.

(I'm sorry, Ammi)

Everyone started having their breakfast after the drama.

"Aadat daal le Innu. Ab yeh sab haar din dekhna padega." I said in my heart.

(Get used to it, Innu. Now you have to go through this everyday.)

"Haan aur kaar hi kya sakti hai tu." My angel side told me.

(Yeah, what else can you do.)

"Bhag jaa yeh sab chodke. Kinti dafa mana kiya tha tujhe yeh shaadi na kaar. Lekin tu na suni. Ab sunle." My devil side said.

(Escape from this hell. I told you so many times not to do this marriage but you didn't listen to me. At least listen to me now.)

"Dafa ho ja" I shooed her.

(Get lost.)

"Good job." My angel side appreciates my decision.

"Sahil se dur hi rehna. Samjhi." Aadil said whispering near my ear. And I nodded yes.

(Stay away from, Sahil.)

"Ammi. Aaj dopeher ko Ateef wapas aa rahe hai." Suddenly Chachi announced something. Now who is he? I think Her husband.

(Ammi, Ateef is coming back in the afternoon.)

"Alhamdulillah. Acchi baat hai. Kam se kam walimah mein toh samil hoga yeh. Sara din India se bahar hi toh rehta hai. Kam kam aur kam. Kuch nehi sujhta iseh kam k siwa." Dadi jaan said with irritation.

(Good news. At least, he will attend the reception party of his Nephew's wedding. He always stay out of town for work. Nothing mattered to him other than work.)

"Aaj walimah hone wali hai?" Aadil said in an amazed tone. Now what happened to him?

(You held the reception today?)

"Haan. Nikah hua hai. Humne pure khandan walon ko card bheje hai iss tarikh ko reception hoga. Toh kya kaar sakte hai. Cancel karde?" Baba said in a serious tone while eating.

(Of course, the wedding is done. The reception party's date was fixed before what can I do in this? Do you want me to cancel it?)

"Haan. Cancel kaar dijiye. Mujhe nehi attend karna koi Walimah bwalima mein." He announced his decision and stood up from the chair to go. But stopped hearing Baba's words.

(Yes cancel the party. I have zero interest in attending any party.)

"Tumhare marzi k motabik sab kuch nehi ho sakta. Mr.Aadil Waziri. Reputation naam ki bhi koi chiz hoti hai. Aise hi tumhare wajese itna kuch dekhna paad raha hai. Aur ab yeh nakhre maat dikhao. Na tum Kainaat se shaadi karne ki zidd karte na yeh sab hume dekhna padta."

(Not everything depends on your mood, Mr. Aadil Waziri. Reputation also matters. We had to go through so many things because of your stubborness. Now stop throwing tantrums. If you wouldn't have insist on marrying Kainaat then we wouldn't had to go through all this today. It's not only you who is suffering, we all are suffering because of your stupidity. Even this innocent girl's life is ruined because of you.)

"Haan. Ab sab galti toh meri hai. Ab iss baat k liye mujhe jalil karte rahiye." He said in rage and strode upstairs. Baba shook his head and Ammi was looking at me. She gestured for me to go to her son.

(Yes. It's all my fault. Now keep taunting me all my life for my stupidity.)

And I nodded to her, gesturing, then stood from there, leaving my breakfast in the middle. Yaar. I'm starving, and they do not let me finish my breakfast. So cruel.

When I reached his room. My eyes bulged from its socket after seeing the condition of his room. What the hell did he do with this room? Everything was spreading all over the floor.

He was standing on the balcony, so I went there.

"Aadil," I pronounce his name. But in an instant, he turned and choked me towards the wall.

"Yeh sab tumhare behen ke wajese ho raha hai. Na woh bhagti. Na tumse meri shaadi hoti. Nahi mujhe tumhara yeh manhus chehra dekhna padta. Nahi mujhe aise jalil hona padta. Mere iss halat ki zimedar serf tum dono behne ho. Allah tum dono ko kabhi maaf na kare. Agar kaar bhi de. Main kabhi nehi karunga." He was roaring at me like a mad bull. His blue eyes just turned into red ones. It's so scary. I can't describe it in words.

("All this is happening because of your sister. If your sister wouldn't have run away from the wedding then I wouldn't have to marry you. And I wouldn't have to see your jinx face. I wouldn't have to face all this tauntings. You two sisters are solely responsible for my condition. May Allah never forgive you both. Even if Allah forgives you, I will never forgive you.)

"Aadil." I was trying to free myself from his grip. But it was impossible for me. He was holding my neck so tightly as he was going to kill me at this instant.

I was feeling like I was going to die today. Tears were flowing from my eyes without any break.

I fell down when he released his hand from my neck. I choked and took heavy breaths to get some air. I was feeling suffocated.

"Khuda ke waste iss manhus sakal leke yaha se dafa ho jao. Nehi toh main tumhare sath kya kaar jayunga mujhe khud ko bhi nehi pata. Just get lost. He roared, and I crept toward the wall in fear. I was hell-scared. To save myself from that Devil. I ran away from there.

(For God's sake, get out of here with this wretched face. Otherwise, I don't even know what I will do to you.)

"Koi aisa karta hai? Allah apne mere sath yeh jyatti keu kiya. Kya gunah kaar diya tha maine jo ap mujhe iss jahannum mein bhej diya. Mujhe toh laag raha tha aaj mera time aa gaya hai. Azrail ata hi hoga mujhe lene. Main apne ankho k samne mout dekh rahi thi." I was talking to Allah while sitting on the swing of the garden. I was crying more and more when I imaginedd that scary scene.

(Have he lost his mind? Why did you do this to me, Allah? What have I done to deserve this hellhole. I thought I was going to die today. I saw death before my eyes.)

"Bhabi jaan." I heard a sound. Sweeping my tears with the back of my palm, I turned back and found Saaba standing there. Now what does she want?

"Yeah, Allah! Bhabi jaan ap ro rahe hai."

(Oh, God! Bhabi, you are crying?)

She ran towards me and sat next to me.

I shook my head not to give her the reply. I know, if I opened my mouth to say something, then I couldn't be able to stop myself from crying.

"Bhabi jaan. Apke gale mein yeh nishan keise?" She started panicking after seeing my neck. Which definitely turned into red marks left by his fingers. I shut my eyes to calm myself down and also prepared myself to face the matter.

(How come you have this mark on your neck?)

"Woh. Allergy hai. Main kal jewellery pehni thi na. Uske wajese rashes ho gaya hai." I said to her, but seeing her face, she wasn't convinced by that.

Beyond that she didn't say anything further related to that matter. To divert my mind she took me inside with her. She told

me that Ammi had instructed her to take me to the parlor. Because today is my Walimah. There my shohar was behaving like a mad bull. And here they are making me ready for the walimah.

(It's allergy. It happens because of the jewellery I wore yesterday at the wedding. It left rashes now.)
